8DB App In development

Your information.
Your space.

A private home for the things you keep. We’re building 8DB App to make protected storage feel simple, with the security of 8DB beneath the surface.

Starting with Apple devices. Release timing and supported features will be announced when the build is ready.

Experience concept · Not a screenshot of a released app

Simple on the surface. Deliberate underneath.

Start with what matters to you.

You shouldn’t need to understand a database to look after your own information. The first experience we’re building is protected storage, with privacy, security and clarity guiding the everyday details.

01 / KEEP

A place for your information.

Bring the things you want to keep into a personal space. The first release’s supported imports and file types will be published with its release details.

02 / PROTECT

Security in the foundation.

8DB’s native encryption is the starting point. The App experience must make access, device loss and recovery understandable, too.

03 / CONNECT

A more connected future.

Private meshes, sharing and additional experiences are part of the broader direction. Each will have its own supported release scope.

The bigger idea

More useful information.
More say in how it’s used.

8Braid was founded on a simple ambition: make information more connected while preserving privacy and the authority of the people it belongs to. 8DB App brings that ambition closer to everyday life.

A few useful distinctions

The App is for using.
The Engine is for building.

You’re in the right place if you want a packaged experience for your own information.

Can I download it now?

8DB App is in development. We haven’t announced a public download or App Store release date here. You can email Ashley to express interest in the upcoming experience.

Which devices are first?

The current development priority is the Apple experience on iOS and macOS. Final device and operating-system support will be listed with the release.

Does it include messaging, projects or AI?

Those are broader product directions with their own release plans. The initial focus described here is protected storage. We’ll explain what is available as each experience is qualified.

What does post-quantum protection mean?

It means using cryptographic methods designed to resist attacks from future quantum computers. The exact protections depend on the selected implementation and data path. Explore how 8DB approaches this →
