← Back to the 8DB AppMAKE THE FIRST MESSAGE USEFUL
Your App version and build number, device model and operating-system version.
What you tried, what you expected, what happened instead and any visible error message, with private details removed.
Use a harmless sample if an example helps. Keep passwords, passphrases, recovery phrases, licence tokens and private files out of your message.
8DB App is in development. A public download and release date have not been announced. If you are evaluating a test build, use the invitation and instructions supplied for that build. You can contact Ashley about early access.
Test builds can differ. Include the App version and build number when you ask for help, and follow the notes supplied with your evaluation. The first evaluation focuses on a local node on your device; broader mesh connectivity has a separate release path.
Keep your node files, original documents and backups while we investigate. Before deleting, resetting or reinstalling anything, contact support with the steps you took and any message shown, with private details removed. Do not send your passphrase, recovery phrase or licence tokens.
Tell us the file type, approximate size and whether the file was on your device or with a cloud provider. Name the provider, not private file or folder paths. Include any error message with private details removed. Check that you can open the source file and access the destination. Keep the original, and check any exported copy before relying on it. A harmless sample is preferable to a private document.
Start with the steps and the visible error message, with private details removed. If you include a screenshot, remove private document content, names and other sensitive details first. Do not attach raw logs unless we request a specific diagnostic record and explain how to remove sensitive information. Never include credentials, passphrases, recovery phrases or licence tokens.
